What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Some are needed for a shop to work at all — remembering what is in your basket from one page to the next. Others are optional and used to measure or advertise.
The categories we use
- Strictly necessary — required to run the shop. These cannot be switched off, because without them your basket and your order do not work.
- Analytics — helps us understand how the shop is used, so we can improve it. Only used with your permission.
- Marketing and advertising — lets us measure our advertising and reach people with similar interests. Only used with your permission.
Our basket cookie is strictly necessary functionality. We do not classify advertising or measurement technologies as necessary in order to avoid asking you about them.
Cookies we set
These are the only cookies The Dollery itself sets. All three are first-party, and all three are strictly necessary.

Payment provider storage
When you reach checkout, the card fields are provided by Stripe, our payment processor, and are displayed inside Stripe’s own secure frame. Stripe sets its own cookies and storage there to process the payment and to detect fraud. That storage is Stripe’s rather than ours, and their use of it is covered by their own privacy notice.
The Dollery never receives your card number, so we set nothing relating to it.
Analytics and advertising
No analytics or advertising technologies are currently running on The Dollery. If we introduce any, they will only run once you have agreed to the relevant category.
If you decline, or later change your mind, the advertising technologies are not loaded at all and analytics stops recording. We cannot recall information that was already sent while you had agreed — nobody can — but nothing further is sent.
If we add a new kind of technology, the categories will have changed, so we will ask you again rather than relying on a choice you made before it existed.
Changing your preferences
You can review and change your choices at any time. Your decision is stored for a year, and you can revisit it whenever you like.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop your basket working.
